Coronavirus Cover

The information below is correct for policies sold up until 31st October 2021, if you purchased your policy after this please click here

Any policy sold by Insure & Escape includes cover for any medical claim** due to Coronavirus* while travelling so long as you are travelling to an area where no FCDO or other regulatory authority advice against travel exists. We include cover on our Finest and First levels of cover sold on or after 11th November 2020 for cancellation due to you falling ill with Coronavirus* and being unable to travel, subject to medical certification or an official test result.

Our policies will not cover any cancellation due to government restriction on travel due to Coronavirus* or any future pandemic (for example the FCDO or other regulatory authority advising against all travel or all but essential travel to your destination or your flights being cancelled).

For the full limits of cover for your chosen policy please refer to your schedule of cover. Terms and Conditions apply.

* Coronavirus (COVID-19), severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-COV-2) or other Pandemic Illness.

** This is a travel insurance policy and not private medical insurance. This means there is no cover for any medical expenses incurred in private medical facilities if we have confirmed that medically capable public facilities are available.

Where can I travel?

We additionally note that at the current time you may be subject to a requirement to self-isolate for 14 days on your return to the UK if you travel to a country that is not a travel corridor.
